In a land far, far away filled with pappadums, there lived a princess. Her name was Avisha. She was the most beautiful and only girl (for now) who lived in this wonderful land, filled with love, daddy, mummy, friends, tutus, pappadums and DORA the explorer!
Avisha is the heartmelter, smile-inducer, sweetie pie of homie Daniel and Felicia. I have absolutely no idea why I took so long to post a blog of her but it's never too late! Such a lovely baby who has grown up to be such a Dora the Explorer doppelganger. There's got to be a look-alike contest somewhere that this girl must win!
Avisha welcomes her guests with a wave of the national pappadum flag. "Welcome to MY party!!" she said, as pink daddy king restrains her excitement. Damn straight little bella ... it's YOUR party!
Even Shea couldn't resist cuddling this little power puff girl (who was still holding on to her pappadum flag). Meanwhile, here's a shout-out to Joe in the background with that most priceless look of surprise ever caught on my camera!
Now, here's the tearjerker part. Sunny LOVES this photo lah! I never thought he was one who will ever play with kids but the DJ has been chasing me for eons for this photo of him and Avisha. Sorry about Avisha's Rosamund-Kwan-like look of elegant boh-chup-ness ... but here's your photo!
Finally, a re-enactment of the Far East Organisation photo of the original 3. The photo from years yonder is sitting safely somewhere and don't worry ... I will protect it with my life and photos of Sunny with hair will never surface.

So so so ... there is another baby in da house yo!
Say Hi to Skyla Yun McLaughlin.
She is a doll. An absolute doll. The first time I met her was a month ago and she was a porcelain doll asleep in the pram. So serene, so tranquil, so precious. Here she is in the butterfly chair, pretty much like the first time I saw her.
It’s great that there are more babies being added to my generation of the family. I still remember the days when we were Shea’s age and would hang out at my grandmother’s house in Serangoon. Children, I’m sure ... weren’t anywhere on our minds 20 years ago. Has it been 20 years?!?! Yup. 20 years.

Had lunch with Natey-Boo today and realised that he NEVER leaves home without his trains! He was just such a happy camper running around the restaurant, looking for ledges to run his carriage on.

This Keidi is too cute for words lah. Apparently her mum and grandmother will entertain her (and probably themselves too) while they do the laundry by slotting her chubby fingers into clothes pegs! Don't worry lah, it's child-safe because they use the ones with a larger opening.
Keidi is now a veteran clothes-peg-finger-unpicker ... Just look at that level of concentration!

Now that I'm the family chauffeur for trips to the supermarket, bank and hospitals ... I get to witness the little wonders of the young ones at home. It's such a pleasure to just wake up and know that the most imminent task ahead is to get your family to NTUC for groceries.

Things are not all find and dandy in kiddy lala land. There are times when babies grump and frump too. Keidi fell off the metre tall bed and hit the hard ground. It's so hard to coax a smile out of this little sweetheart with hydraulic legs. It was a sad day that made me cry.
However, all is good now and this little lactose powered dynamo is back in action with a pair of nice new square teeth in her 6th month!! That's a rare one, considering she's 3 months ahead.
Remember parents, never take their dormancy for granted ... they are storing energy so that they can leap off the bed to take a swig from the dog bowl before returning to their position and have a good poop later.

Oooooh ... Shea and I ran into Maye and Nate at Fish & Co yesterday. We caught the little cherub asleep in his mummy's embrace with his little-giant hands at rest.

It's Keidi's turn!
This little one is a tough one to capture.
Keidi's hardly in a state of rest everytime all is right in the frame, she plops her head to the other direction, decides to blow saliva bubbles or sneaks a peck at Shea ... uber cuteness.
Shea, treats Keidi like a sister of hers and dresses up to match Keidi if she has similar outfits. If Keidi's in pink, out comes her pink pyjamas. If Shea is wearing her favourite charm necklace, she'll pull another bracelet from her stash and lops it on Keidi's pudgy forearm.
This one's a mischievous one to watch.

My darling POH (the P here has no "apostrophe s" for those who knows what a POH is) has been put under much stress because everytime I get my hands on this baby, I tell my POH "Quick, get the car ready and let's steal Nate!!" I cannot explain why I like Nate-my-Mate so, so much.
Shea and I were in the Maye-Seng household today and I told her "Shea, I like Nate ... can I steal him? I'll drive and you hold on tight to him with your seatbelt on."
Shea whispered aloud ... "Erm, mummy ... I think you better not."
"Why not? Mummy likes him leh ..." I reverted.
Shea took a deep breath and whispered back ... "BECAUSE GOD SAYS WE CANNOT STEAL."
