Tadah!!! Here's the birthday cake that I have been waiting to show the world!!!
Together with
my daddy's mahjong birthday cake, I ordered this to celebrate Ming's and my birthday, on boxing day.
As for the cryptic numbers, erm ... I will not reveal too much but it is our age and our birthdate. Go fgure. If you do decide to invest in our numbers, only 4 permutations ... so please feel free to place a system bet.

Hi Abigael, came across your blog. May I ask how's the taste of the cake from Yiling Confectionary? I am planning to order a birthday cake for my boy. Thank you.

Hey Doreen
Not sure if you know what I mean if I say "heartland cake" ... it tastes like one of those. You can choose the flavours of the sponge cake that you would like to combine - and the taste vary accordingly. I chose butter sponge cake + vanilla cream both times and it was OK.
If you are looking for something that would go well with most palate, stick to the conventional Lana, Awfully Chocolate or The Patissier.
The deal breaker was the kitsch factor for me :) and I was willing to compromise the taste.
Both times I ordered a cake that was too large (2kg for 30 pax) and had to dump half of it. So if you want to, remember to choose a smaller one for a party of that size or it'll be terribly wasteful.
Happy Birthday, Zachary!
