For once, I am not going to lapse into the design verbage of an outlet. I think I know the designer and I will hold neutral.

http://www.graze.sg/I like Rochester Park better in the day, really and the brunch was just the right start to a Sunday, amongst lush greens and ambient noise.

So ... the breakfast menu is a hearty selection of sausages, eggs, toast, ham and other morning savouries heaped on a iron plate. It really tastes as good as it looks too.
Our pleasure was shortened when Elna and I tasted detergent in the pancakes. We got the server to taste it, sent it back to the kitchen and spat in disgust. The reply that got back was that the chef put too much bicarbonate soda in the batter and is making a new batch. But my dears, Elna the seasoned baker swore that she knew the difference between detergent and baking soda. And I trust her.
Nevertheless, to the novice tongue, I felt that that the heavy pancakes are a waste of good money and I will go for my Aunt Jemima's anytime. Graze spared us the cost of that dish to make up for their neglect.

I write this with plenty of self-regulation as I know that my words will be used against me one day and this is when I know how much it sucks to be in a circle where the owner and designer are less than 2 phone calls away.
However, Elna and I were relaxed enough to go in our Sunday slack, with me prepping my bermudas and flip flops with the hairpiece that I can't use anywhere else without raising questions about my sanity. The play of light and textures that saturate the place is interesting to note as well.
Will I go back again?
--> Not for pancakes for sure.
I like the pancakes at Cedele at Wheelock.
